Just this past Thursday, I took part in the collaboration with TOKYO DANDY and DIOR celebrating the reopening of the Dior flagship store in Ginza. In this shoot, I got to wear four outfits from the Dior S/S '12 collection. All photos from the shoot can be viewed over at TOKYO DANDY!
From Chanel to Dior princess, I swear I have not worn this much color, lace and frill in one year. Not that I am complaining though! It's as if I lived the mermaid princess fairytale and went from the underwater world of Chanel, grew a pair (..of legs) and was swooped away to Prince Charming's Dior palace. As for the outfits, my favorite ensemble is the one I am wearing in the picture above. It reminds me of Audrey Hepburn in the 60's...but, the hat maybe more early 90's. Together it is elegant, yet swingin'. But, if I were to wear this dress out, I think I would prefer to wear it with some black flats or with low heels. The other pieces I wore were stunning, but they were either a bit too delicate or cutesy for my taste. I'd probably never wear any of them out, except maybe perhaps if I were the Lady Dior roaming the halls and corridors of the Dior palace drinking champagne all day and complaining about how my husband Charming is never at home and bitching about how my lady friends are dull. Oh, to be a lady!

And so I became a mermaid princess. Tried on several amazingly delicate-to-the-point-where-I-probably-shouldn't-touch pieces from the Chanel SS '12 collection, wore this dress and got my picture taken in it too (Ariel would be jealous) and all was good in the Kingdom of the Chanel PopUp Boutique. My aquatic fantasy only came true because of the creative collaborative effort of Tiffany Godoy and the team behind The Reality Show, DropTokyo and of course, Chanel (THANK YOU!!)
Starting from today, The Reality Show live styling sessions will be posted on droptokyo.com. The concept behind this shoot is Street Style x Haute Couture! I think it's a brilliant idea to mix and match couture pieces with your everyday clothes. It makes couture that much more accessible to a younger crowd by making it seem less highbrow/rich old ladies wear and more part of modern fashion.

Just as the cherry blossoms have bloomed here in Tokyo, the Chanel Pop-Up Boutique for a short time only has sprung donning its beautiful array of Spring magnificence. Such a contrast from the Classic Chanel palette. This boutique showcased a dreamy world where strings of pearls were draped over purses and rainbow fishscales lined the walls (really reminds me of this). I imagine myself as a mermaid princess floating around under the sea making all my merfriends jealous when I wear anything from this collection...yes, even the coral heels that I wouldn't be able to wear because of my fin. I'VE GOT DREAMS TOO. Anyway, it was one of the best exhibitions I've been to so far. I could not stop taking photos of everything and everyone. Probably to the point where I was annoying, but at least you got your picture taken in this fantasy aquarium by Chanel. Make your merfriends jealous.
I want to give my most heartfelt thank you to Tiffany Godoy for inviting me to The Reality Show Cocktail at Chanel Pop-Up Boutique in Omotesando. As you may know, Tokyo recently hosted the launch of Karl Largerfeld's new book and its exhibition, The Little Black Jacket, along with a runway show and party. Among the series of Chanel events, editor-in-chief and creative director of The Reality Show blogazine, Miss Godoy has released the third issue featuring a collaboration of Tokyo's it-girls mixing their own clothes with Chanel Couture. Please check out more about the blogazine here!
40 Pictures ahead!

Kevin Murphy has released a new line of one-night-only hair coloring shadow called, Color.Bug. And for this, I really wish I had that Daenerys Targaryen white blonde hair. It would be such the perfect, unique and fun accessory to complete that pastels look for Spring! Too bad I don't have the hair color nor the balls to bleach it that way; however, I'm not entirely bummed out because Mr. Murphy has shown us that Color.Bug also works with dark hair. I didn't think it would turn out as well as it did. Really. It's obviously not has prominent or bright as it is on blonde hair, but it still shows up quite a bit. But, using Color.Bug on dark hair pretty much limits you to only using purple. I wasn't too sure about this look, to be honest. With people like Sky Ferreira (still don't understand her appeal) doing it, it just looked trashy and cheap. But, now that I've seen it done properly on recent runway shows and magazine ads, it's actually not so unfashionably crass. Apparently, the ombre hair color trend is over now, but with these new colors we may see a rebirth of a revamped look.
